Ajolote organizó un viaje fantástico para nosotros! Cristina y su equipo son personas maravillosas. Los guías eran geniales, el conductor era genial, al igual que todos los guías. Hicimos muchas cosas divertidas incluyendo el paseo en globo sobre Teotihuacán. Eligieron grandes restaurantes y lugares locales que nunca hubiéramos conocido. Hicimos un viaje de un día a Puebla que también fue genial. Atienden a tu grupo y a las cosas que quieres hacer. Se los recomendaré 100% a mis amigos y familiares.

The most beautiful tour of Xochimilco that I have experienced. Navigating the canals at dawn is a completely different experience, and that view of the volcanoes is unmatched, almost spiritual. The food and the tour of the chinampa were purely educational and joyful. But the best part, without a doubt, was the chinampa nantli team. The warmth with which they welcomed us and the knowledge they shared with us we will not forget anytime soon. I recommend this experience to everyone I meet.

I recently joined a cooking class with Ajolote Travel. The venue was exquisite - a cozy, intimate kitchen in a historic hotel on one of the oldest streets in Mexico City's Centro Historico. Already a win. The experience was one of my favorites in the city! Plenty of drinks, plenty of authentic food, lots of skills learned. The hostesses were especially charming and knew exactly how to make an eclectic group of wanna-be Mexican chefs feel right at home. 10/10 would recommend any experience with Ajolote!

Contratamos a Majo de Ajolote Travel para una visita de un día al centro histórico de la Ciudad de México y la experiencia fue maravillosa. Después de coincidir en nuestro hotel, condujo a nuestro grupo a pié al Colegio de San Ildefonso, en donde pudimos asombrarnos con la arquitectura, su historia y sobre todo los sensacionales murales del recinto. Cuán diferente es la percepción de ellos, bajo la explicación experta de una historiadora del arte como Majo, Paola y Verónica, logrando una experiencia inolvidable.
Tuvimos una agradable comida en un icónico sitio cercano, para culminar con la visita magistral al Palacio de la Escuela de Medicina el cual sobrepasó todas nuestras expectativas, tanto en la evolución que ha tenido el recinto a lo largo de su historia, las leyendas sobre la inquisición y sus asombrosas salas. De verdad, no queríamos que terminara, por lo fascinante que resultó todo el recorrido. Recomiendo ampliamente a Majo y a Ajolote como una extraordinaria opción para visitas guiadas, ya que elaboran programas personalizados, de acuerdo a los intereses del grupo y la disponibilidad de horario.

They arranged extremely knowledgeable guides at every museum and heritage site, as well as took care to organise one-of-a-kind culinary experiences that introduced the unique characteristics of Poblano cuisine. Our patron group from the performing arts center at Dartmouth College, Hopkins Center for the Arts, had just a spectacular time. You selected the perfect cultural outings, both the concerts and the museums, and exceptional housing and meals. Throughout the tour, you were informative and always great fun to be around. There was no detail you overlooked.
In the past, I had visited Mexico City on my own, with my family, and I had thought that I was highly competent in studying guidebooks and planning our tours. However, by knowing Mexico City and having such excellent contacts, you provided an experience above anything I could have planned.

¡Gracias Pao! Tuvimos un gran viaje en la Ciudad de México. Cuatro días fantásticos, aunque comencé a enfermarme en nuestra última noche mientras veía el Ballet de Folklórico de México. Así que esa noche y las siguientes 48 horas fueron difíciles para mí. Pero me alegro mucho de que haya sucedido la última noche para que no haya tenido un gran impacto en mi viaje.
Muchas gracias por todo el tiempo y esfuerzo que usted y Majo pusieron para trabajar conmigo para planificar y realizar nuestro recorrido. Realmente fue un día especial y toda mi familia disfrutó mucho de cada uno de los 3 destinos principales. ¡¡Majo estuvo fantástica!! Nos permitió hacerle un millón de preguntas y siempre tuvo respuestas muy reflexivas y fáciles de entender. Tuvimos una experiencia absolutamente maravillosa con Ajolote Travel. Paola fue una guía increíble y planeó una experiencia inolvidable de 3 días para nosotros en la Ciudad de México. Estaba nerviosa porque estoy acostumbrada a planificar nuestros propios viajes, pero ella se encargó de todos los preparativos (quitándome el estrés habitual) y planeó aventuras que yo no habría sabido buscar por mí mismo. Me encantó todo, pero disfruté especialmente el viaje en kayak a Chinampa Natli en Xochimilco, tan increíblemente tranquilo. Paola estuvo muy atenta a nuestras necesidades e hizo ajustes según nuestros comentarios. Mi hijo tiene 8 años y ella se aseguró de que él también estuviera comprometido e interesado.

Merci à Paola de Ajolote TRavel d'avoir organisé avec une grande gentillesse, efficacité et disponibilité le circuit autour de Mexico.
Nous étions à Mexico début novembre pour le mariage du fis d'un couple d'amis. Ceux-ci ont voulu facilité les visites aux français non-bilingues espagnol.
La fête des morts attirent beaucoup de monde et Paola a fait en sorte, tout en nous permettent de vivre cet évènement, de nous emmener dans des lieux authentiques et moins fréquentés. Nous avons vécu une journée incroyable à seulement 1H du centre ville.
Le matin, visite du marché aux fleurs...époustouflant! et visite du musèe Anahuacelli ,.lieu grandiose!
Ensuite déjeuner,dans les jardins flottants de Xochimilco, cadre paisible comme on s'y attend peu si près de Mexico. Nous y avons créé notre hôtel des morts, chacun participait comme il le souhaitait, en ayant sa propre intention...
Nous avons continué seuls notre voyage.. Merci encore à Paola pour ces deux jours incroyables!

The experience at Salon Los Ángeles was amazing, it took us back in time, to feel and understand a little bit of the Mexican culture. The people were super nice, it was easy to get there, and I felt secure all the time, because they were really conscious of security. The music was great, the band and the dancers were really into it, and they created an environment for all to get engaged with the party.

La actividad se planificó con mucho entusiasmo y durante la planificación, el equipo de Ajolote fue súper accesible, colaborador y fue fácil confiar en ellos.
Una vez que comenzó la actividad y llegamos al Salón Los Ángeles, fue incluso mejor de lo que había puesto en mi mente. Todo estuvo súper organizado y fue fácil desconectarme y unirme a mi equipo y disfrutar, Ajolote tenía todo bajo control y todo salió muy bien.
La ubicación, Salón Los Ángeles fue increíble, el personal fue muy amable y el servicio excelente. Al llegar, la decoración era sensacional, y me encantó que en la entrada hubiera camareros con bebidas para los recién llegados. ¡Fue una velada inolvidable y no hubiera sucedido sin Ajolote!

I really liked the activity, I am a salsa lover so I was in heaven with the music. I liked that we had dancers to guide us and it really made it very fun! The food and beverages were all really good. In general it was a great experience and I also liked the story of the place. The staff was really nice as well.

The activity was extremely fun and the only negative point is that it had to finish (:P). Jokes aside, the dance presentation was super fun and educational (I am from Brazil), the fact that when the band started playing we still had some dancers with us to teach us the dance was for me the highlight. For food and beverage I can't add much, I was focused on dancing so I didn't try anything to eat. And for beverages I focused on the beers and didn't try the drinks. The workers of the catering were amazing, super friendly and fast - even with my broken spanish.

We were fortunate to spend three days in Mexico City during March 2022 being looked after by Vi Ajolote Travel. We could never have done it without them!
Although we followed the initial proposal we had received closely, our suggestions were willingly incorporated in the final itinerary. We were collected at our hotel each morning and driven all over the city and out to the un-missable Teotihuacan. Paola and Majo had arranged the comfortable minivan and kept us entertained during the inevitable commutes with their seemingly encyclopedic knowledge of the history, culture and socio-political atmosphere of the country and the city in particular. We were taken to some outstanding restaurants for leisurely late lunches.
I can't imagine a first trip to Mexico City without a guide. And if you're planning a visit, get hold of Vi Ajolote Travel - you won't be disappointed!

Je voudrais remercier VIAJOLOTE qui, tout au long de mon séjour à Mexico (six mois fantastiques) m’ont prodigué de précieux conseils et aidé à organisé des séjours et sorties. J’en citerai deux :
* un fantastique survol en montgolfière des ruines de Teotihuacan. Service parfait, plein la vue et ,souvenirs inoubliables. Et tout cela à moins d’une heure de la ville.
* une semaine divine avec des amis dans le Yucatan. Nous voulions éviter Cancun et les grandes installations impersonnelles type « all-in ». Paola nous a conseillé Akumal, un village de vacances situé entre Cancun et Tulum, qui est resté authentique (pas la moindre boutique de souvenirs en vue, c’est dire !). Quatre jours dans un glamping enchanteur et ensuite quatre jours dans un appartement super confortable en bord de mer.
* Merci à Paola et son équipe de nous avoir conseillés et accompagnés d’un bout à l’autre de ces expéditions. Nous avons pu bénéficier d’une disponibilité optimale et obtenu des réponses à toutes nos questions.

Our group of 14 wanted an easy way to experience the Lucha Libre wrestling on our first night in Mexico City. Sandra from Ajolote was the perfect guide for us...she picked us up in a van, took us to a wonderful restaurant for late lunch, got us each wrestling masks and then we had VIP treatment at the arena. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip and all went smoothly thanks to the wonderful Sandra. She stayed available to us the rest of the trip for useful tips. These guides know this city so well, I highly recommend them.

“Mexico City is so enormous and full of so many cultural attractions that it could feel overwhelming to try and plan a 5 day vacation there. We were lucky enough to find Paola Schlaepfer of Ajolote Travel and she created the perfect 5 day vacation for us. We gave her a little information on our interests and she sent an itinerary that was full of activities for each day, restaurant suggestions, and also some down time on our own.
When we approved the itinerary, she went ahead and purchased the tickets to the popular museums, like Frida Kahlo’s home and studio, Diego Rivera’s studio and his largest mural and for the Folklore Ballet.
She picked us up at the airport and took us to our hotel. Every morning she greeted us at the hotel with a driver and was our tour guide for the day. We spent an afternoon at the National Museum of Anthropology, which is one of the best in the world. We saw the ancient city of Teotihuacan and still had time to walk in some of the beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Don’t miss the flower market as it is one of the most beautiful and largest in the world.
I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful city, the great sites and good food, and our wonderful tour guide. We are well traveled and have never had such a great experience as we had over Christmas.
We have been spoiled by Paola Schlaepfer, and it will be hard to find another trip this well-organized. We can’t recommend her enough!"

El chef Piccard visita la Ciudad de México para llevar a cabo una investigación culinaria sobre especies endémicas y las diferentes formas de cocinar elementos en común de las cocinas mexicana y canadiense . Su objetivo final aprender a cocinar ciertos platillos, re-interpretarlos e integrarlos a su menu.
El recorrido fue documentado para un programa de television que tiene el chef y cuyo nombre es el título de este viaje.
Martin Piccard es un conocido chef dueño del restaurant "Au pied de Cochon" en Montreal, Quebec. Gracias por tan auténtica curiosidad por conocer otras cocinas.
Gracias a la dedicación, el trabajo y el talento de quienes nos recibieron: Güero Filemón pilar de la Taquería Los Guëros de Boturini con su padre y fundador don Filemón ; A todo el equipo del Vilsito que transforman espacios y sirven deliciosos tacos al pastor; A Jesús Zaeien y su familia por mantener la tradición michoacana deliciosas carnitas en el Rincón Tarrasco; A Sandra González y familia en su molino y tortillería "Gotitas de amor" producen deliciosas tortillas fundamentales en la dieta de muchas personas; A doña Martha garduño por enseñarnos a cocinar exquisitos tamales en Tepoztlan,Morelos; A Marco Gil por ilustrarnos sobre los destilados de agave en su muy agradable lugar "Club del mezcal La Lagartija" en Tepoztlán,Morelos. "Como comentario diría que pasamos una estancia increíble en Tepoztlan y alrededores. Nuestra guía, en este caso Paola Schlaepfer, nos tenía un programa muy interesante, una variedad de actividades desde la visita de un sitio arqueológico o grutas hasta un paseo en las montañas y/o campo y una nadada en una alberca enorme de agua del volcán.
Vale la pena pasar unos días y descubrir esta preciosa región considerando suficientes días para aprovechar cada visita"

"For the three days we were in Tepoztlán, a nice village just outside Mexico City, Paola, our amazing guide showed us some incredible places. Each day we visited something different: day one was ancient ruins, day two was a beautifully renovated hacienda/hotel where we had an amazing dinner, day three was a visit to the biggest natural pool of Mexico. This made our trip unique, to say the least. As tourists, we couldn’t have found all these places by ourselves. Also, Paola gave us some unique insight to these places.
Don’t be afraid to get into the car! Sometimes the trip is an hour long but it’s totally worth it (and Mexico is a huge country).
And you should always bring a swimsuit with you ;) "
